Checkpoints are becoming more common in America

Forty members of Congress have sent an urgent letter to House and Senate Armed Services Committee leaders protesting certain provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act that would legalize indefinite detention of American citizens without trial. The revised version of the bill heads for a final vote on Thursday.

Here is a passage from the letter:

“The Senate-passed version of the NDAA, S. 1867, contains Section 1031, which authorizes indefinite military detention of suspected terrorists without protecting U.S. citizens’ right to trial. We are deeply concerned that this provision could undermine the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth amendment rights of U.S. citizens who might be subjects of detention or prosecution by the military.”

A lot of people have the mistaken idea that the indefinite detention legislation does not apply to American citizens. However, it does. There is an exemption for American citizens from the mandatory detention requirement (section 1032 of the bill), but no exemption for American citizens from the authorization to use the military to indefinitely detain people without charge or trial (section 1031 of the bill). So, the result is that, under the bill, the military has the power to indefinitely imprison American citizens, but it does not have to use its power unless ordered to do so.

Need more proof that this is actually happening? Here is what one of the bill’s sponsors, Sen. Lindsey Graham said about it on the Senate floor:

“Section 1031, the statement of authority to detain, does apply to American citizens and it designates the world as the battlefield, including the homeland.”

Another co-sponsor of the bill, Sen. John McCain, said this:

“Americans suspected of terrorism could not only be indefinitely detained, but could be sent to Guantanamo.”

This is what it has come to in America. Under the supposed constant threat of terrorist attacks, everyone has become a suspect. Guilty until proven innocent.

Feds Demanding Customer Lists – May or May Not Be True

A couple days ago, I posted a story that the Feds had gone to a Mormon Cannery facility in Tennessee and demanded lists of customers who had purchased storable food.

Here we are two days later and I can no longer tell if this story is true or not. At the time I posted it, it seemed very credible. But now, I don’t now.

If you try to research the subject on the net, you will find 50% of the people say the story is true, the other 50% say it’s bogus.

Everyone seems to have their secret source who works at a Mormon cannery and they claim to have the inside scoop. At this point, I can’t tell you one way or the other. You will just have to do your own research and make up your own mind. But, here’s how I feel about it.

If they Feds are wanting to see who is buying storable food, it wouldn’t discourage me from continuing to buy it. In fact, it would make me want to buy it that much faster.

If the Feds are not demanding lists, then I would still advocate that people buy emergency food, whether it is bulk staples, freeze dried food, or dehydrated food. And I would still continue to buy it myself.

Hope that helps.

Feds Are Asking for Lists of People Who Buy Storable Foods

It has been learned that federal agents are visiting Mormon Church food storage canneries and demanding customer lists of Americans who are purchasing storable foods from them.

This incident was confirmed, in person, by Oath Keepers Tennessee Chapter President, Rand Cardwell. Here is his report:

“A fellow veteran contacted me concerning a new and disturbing development. He had been utilizing a Mormon cannery near his home to purchase bulk food supplies. The man that manages the facility related to him that federal agents had visited the facility and demanded a list of individuals that had been purchasing bulk food. The manager informed the agents that the facility kept no such records and that all transactions were conducted on a cash-and-carry basis. The agents pressed for any record of personal checks, credit card transactions, etc., but the manager could provide no such record. The agents appeared to become very agitated and after several minutes of questioning finally left with no information. I contacted the manager and personally confirmed this information.

This event points to a confused policy within federal agencies. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in their Are You Ready? guide to In Depth Citizen Preparedness recommends that citizens store emergency supplies, including bulk food, in the event of a natural disaster or man-made event (the new politically correct term applied to a terrorist attack). The FEMA guidance is spot-on as it allows individuals and families to be self-sufficient during an emergency situation.

And here in Tennessee, we just learned that Nashville Metro Public Health and the Tennessee Department of Health are conducting “door-to-door assessment of disaster preparedness … using a tool designed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to go door to door and check to see how disaster ready you are. .. in 30 neighborhoods in Davidson County [TN] that have been randomly selected to be the target of a door to door assessment.” I have confirmed that that is a state run effort.

So on the one hand, government agencies both state and federal are urging you to be prepared and even checking up on you to see how prepared you are, and on the other hand, we now have federal agencies that are attempting to gather information on individuals that are following FEMA suggestions. What is the reasoning behind gathering this information? Are American citizens now being “listed” by DHS if they are simply following FEMA guidance and purchasing bulk food and emergency supplies for their families? It appears as so.” You can read the full article here.

Deprivation of food has long been a weapon of war and oppression, with millions intentionally starved to death by fascist and communist governments in the 20th Century alone.

Why is the Department of Homeland Security compiling lists of people who have storable foods? Al Qaida suicide bombers are not known to store powdered milk and buckets of wheat. Nor are they known to store dehydrated carrots and instant potatoes or fruit punch mix for the kids. But the Mormons are known to do so, and so are many other Americans who have the common sense and maturity to take personal responsibility for ensuring that their families will have food in times of disaster and emergency.

It is a practice of Mormon Church members to store food for hard times and emergencies, with a recommendation that each family store a year’s worth of basic dry goods along with three months worth of store-bought canned and boxed foods. To facilitate that practice, the Mormon Church runs its own food storage canneries selling powdered milk, wheat, flour, rice and beans, sugar, salt, and various other dry goods either in bulk 50 lb bags or in #10 cans for long term food storage. These Church canneries also often sell food storage items to non-church members, seeing it as both morally right and prudent to help their neighbors store food, whatever their faith. The cannery in Tennessee that was “visited” by federal agents follows that practice of helping the general public become better prepared.

Clearly, if you purchase food storage along with any other preparedness items, you should know that those purchases may be tracked and your name winding up on a government list. However,

Don’t let this stop you from storing food and other essential supplies.

Please, don’t let this disturbing incident keep you getting storable foods for your family. FEMA is stockpiling food. Understand this. The Feds are preparing for something. So should you.

Head of UBS Bank Urges People to Buy Food, Gold and Guns

Checkpoints are becoming more common in the US as civil unrest becomes more widespread

The head of UBS bank, Larry Hataway, is urging people to stock up on food, gold and guns. He also warns that if a fix is not implemented immediately, the world faces financial collapse.

Hataway is talking specifically about the European Union (EU). But the U.S. would be affected if the EU collapses. Even though Hatawy is head of one of the world’s largest banks, his advice actually makes sense. You can read all his comments here.

Around the globe, preparations are being made by governments to deal with civil unrest by their citizens. In the US, KBR, a subsidiary of Halliburton, was contracted by Homeland Security to build detention centers to deal with “an emergency influx of immigrants into the U.S,” or the rapid development of unspecified “new programs” that would require large numbers of people to be interned.

Since 2006, the world has been beset by riots and civil unrest as a result of the fallout from economic collapse. From the United Kingdom, to continental Europe, to the Middle East and North Africa, almost every corner of the globe has experienced social dislocation.

In light of all this, the greatest thing you can do is make preparations for your family. Do it while you still have time.

Who Will Live and Who Will Die in the Next National Emergency

Will you survive the chaos in the streets in the next disaster?

Will you survive the chaos in the streets after the next major disaster?

There are people who will live and even thrive in a worse-case scenario after a major disaster happens like a Coronoal Mass Ejection (CME) or Electromagnetic Pulse Attack (EMP). It will be people who are not arrogant, complacent, in denial, gullible, narcissistic and who will not rely on the government.

Here’s who they are:

  • People who are not blind to what is going on around them.
  • People who do not believe everything they hear and see from the mainstream media.
  • People who ask questions and get the facts of what is really going on from multiple alternative sources.
  • People who are open minded and willing to adapt and change to their current situation and surroundings.
  • People who plan ahead and PREPARE for the worse while hoping for the best.

These people look at the possibilities that can happen, what the results will be and plan and prepare to survive those results.

These people also get informed on what is really happening around them by not listening to the biased mainstream media but to the alternative media. They want the truth of what is really going on and will do the research to find it. They network by talking to likeminded people, family, friends and survival group members for the latest up-to-date information.

People who are self reliant, know how to live with the Earth, know how to live off the grid and have a farm or ranch out in the country far away from populated areas will have the best chance of surviving.

It is recommended that every person have at least a one year supply of food, first aid supplies, a good water source, survival supplies, a pistol, a rifle or a 12ga shotgun and at least 1000 rounds for each gun. When all hell breaks loose, each person will need a way to protect themselves and their supplies or their chances of dying will drastically increase.

Planning and preparing for an uncertain future is crucial to surviving. Ask yourself, “How bad do I want to live and survive?”

This is a great video called Preppers Shall Inherit the Earth. Watch it.
