Hunger in America is Closer Than You Think

Depression-era mother and children

In the US, we do not spend much time worrying about hunger. That’s why it may surprise you to learn this:

“1 out of every 8 children under the age of 12 in the US goes to bed hungry every night”

One out of eight equates to 12.5%. Here’s something else that may surprise you.

“Some 38 million people in America are considered “food insecure”, which means they have trouble finding the money to keep food on the table.”

We have somehow gotten the idea that America is exempt from the famine that plagues a large part of the world. We have always had thousands of food items available to us at the supermarket, and we always will. That may change in the near future.

Food Safety

Let’s look at the safety of our food supply and how food shortages could occur in this country:

  1. Since 1933, farmers have been paid, by the US government, to not produce food. Have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous?
  2. Four agricultural conglomerates control 80% of the farming activity in the US. Their only interest is in profits, not food safety.
  3. Most food today comes from a factory, not a farm.
  4. Conditions are so dangerous and so unsanitary in most slaughterhouses that workers are constantly under the threat of infections and illness.
  5. Most food today contains antibiotics, hormones, and chemicals. Because of this, most Americans don’t know or can’t remember what untainted food tastes like.
  6. Executive Order 10999 allows the government to take over all food resources and farms. Although it is unfathomable for most people to think the government would ever withhold food from its citizens, the potential is there.
  7. At least 70% of supermarket food contains GMO foods.
  8. Most supermarkets have at most, 3 to 4 days of food. If anything happens along the way to keep the trucks from restocking the shelves, shortages occur.
Store Today, Survive Tomorrow

The only way to guarantee that your family will have food in a time of crisis is to store it. Freeze dried food is an excellent way to store high-quality food. It has been proven to last over 25 years when stored in favorable conditiions.

Protect your family today with food you may need tomorrow.

US Showing Same Signs as Roman Empire Did Before Downfall

Nero fiddled while Rome burned.

Will our leaders do the same?

We hear everyday the US is doing fine. Sure, our credit rating was just downgraded for the first time ever, but America’s still great. Right?

Sure, the stock market is volatile, but it’s always been that way. Right?

Sure, nothing is made here anymore, but American workers aren’t skilled enough. Right?

What if I told you the US is exhibiting the same eight signs the Roman Empire did right before its downfall.

Signs Roman Empire Showed Before Downfall

Here are the signs attributed to the downfall. My comments are in red.

  1. As productivity declined, Rome became more dependent on foreign products.
  2. A breakdown in the labor force occurred as the traditional work ethic declined.
  3. The infrastructure of the cities declined and began a steady decay.
  4. A balance of trade deficit began to occur.
  5. The cost of government, including the military and welfare, became burdensome.
  6. Class economic warfare broke out between the rich and poor.
  7. Parts of the empire were not taxed while others were overtaxed.
  8. The small farm all but disappeared .

Sounds like the US today, doesn’t it?

Make Preparations for Your Family

Smart people today are making preparations. They’re storing food, water, and other supplies. They will not be taken by surprise when the US economy crashes.

Preparing today means your family won’t be starving when the grocery stores shelves are empty.

Don’t you think you owe that to your loved ones?

Could London-Style Riots Happen in the US?

Police Quelling Dissent in London Riots After Public Calls for Martial Law

London Police were initially ordered to stand down. This fact was reported by numerous eyewitnesses to the rioting. Police stood back and let rioters have their way. This continued until finally the public called for martial law.

Think it couldn’t happen here? Think again.

All you have to do is look back at the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to know it would happen here.

In a minute.

The stock market has dropped 2000 points in just 3 weeks. I don’t imagine the government or Congress has any answers. The recent debt agreement will do nothing to curb the US’ debt burden.

Face it. The US is bankrupt.

Many experts are saying that the US can no longer borrow it’s way out of this mess. What has worked for years, printing more money, is no longer working. It is just a matter of time until the US economy collapses.

Please prepare now, while you still have time to get supplies for your family.

Writing’s On the Wall – Geithner Wrong, U.S. Economy is Imploding

Geithner was wrong on US credit rating downgrade

Fox Interview on April 25,2011 – Geithner proven wrong on US downgrading

The US has never lost its sterling AAA credit rating since it was first granted in 1917. That is until now.

On Friday, August 5, Standard and Poors dropped the US’ rating to AA. There were those who said it would never happen. One in particular was US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.

On April 25, 2011, Fox Business reporter Peter Barnes interviewed Geithner and asked one question,

Barnes: “Is there a risk that the United States could lose its AAA credit rating? Yes or no?”

     Geithner: “No risk of that.”

     Barnes: “No risk?”

     Geithner: “No risk.”

Once again, Geithner was wrong. We need to realize that as a former Federal Reserve Bank head, Geithner’s loyalty is not to the American people. It’s to his former bosses at the Fed.

The writing is on the wall. The US economy is imploding. Prepare now while you still have time.

Don’t wait for your leaders to tell you to prepare. They won’t.
