Russian Drought Causes Grain Prices to Soar

Barley Field on Fire in Russia

Barley Field on Fire in Russia

Shoppers may see the cost of the meat and poultry rise just as the price of wheat and barley has more than doubled over the past six weeks due to continued fears over the drought affecting Russia and the Ukraine.

The article in The Guardian goes on to say, “Russia is the world’s second largest producer of barley after the EU and the cereal crop is used by many farmers as animal feed. Barley is the latest commodity to see a dramatic price rise in recent weeks”.

“The worst drought for generations in Russia has already caused a 50% jump in the price of wheat, the world’s most-consumed cereal, since June, and last week president Vladimir Putin announced that Russia would freeze grain exports. Attention is also being focused on Australia, the world’s fourth largest exporter of wheat, where this year’s crop may be hit by dry weather in Western Australia, which accounts for 40% of exports. Prices have also been put under pressure by very wet weather in Canada at planting time, which reduced acreage.”

Continued rises in commodity prices provide reason enough to store an emergency food supply. If this trend continues, food prices could skyrocket.

Store an emergency supply of food for your family today, while you have the chance.

Mountain House Freeze Dried Food is a perfect choice. You can start small with a Mountain House 72-Hour Emergency Meal Kit or go large with a Mountain House Platinum Reserve Year Supply. The year supply feeds a family of four for three months!

NIA Predicts Empty Store Shelves Coming to America

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010
In Germany in 1923, banknotes were used as Wallpaper

Germany, 1923: banknotes had lost so much value they were used as wallpaper.

The National Inflation Association today issued a warning to all Americans that empty store shelves will likely be coming to America as a result of government price controls during the upcoming hyperinflationary crisis. NIA also released a video preview of what hyperinflation will look like in the U.S.

The six-minute video goes into detail about an event that took place just outside of Boston, Massachusetts in May of this year. The story was widely ignored by the national media, but NIA believes it was one of the most important news events of the first half of 2010. Although this particular crisis in Boston was due to decaying infrastructure, NIA believes a currency crisis will lead to the same type of panic on a nationwide basis in the U.S.

Citizens of Boston were able to survive their recent crisis with the help of the National Guard, but the National Guard won’t be there for all Americans during hyperinflation. 40.2 million Americans are currently living off of food stamps, but food stamps won’t have any purchasing power during hyperinflation. Remember that.

The United States’ day of reckoning is ahead. We cannot go on living with record budget deficits and accelerating national debt growth forever.

Secure your family’s future today with storable food. Buy it today while you still can.

Insider Says “We’re going to have to evacuate the gulf states”

Insider says Gulf states will be evacuated

Insider says Gulf states will be evacuated

“We’re going to have to evacuate the gulf states,” says Matt Simmons, founder of Simmons and Co., an oil investment firm. “Can you imagine evacuating 20 million people? . . . This story is 80 times worse than I thought.”

I reported in a previous post that rumors are rampant that the government is secretly forming a Gulf states evacuation plan. Now, here is an industry insider voicing his own concerns of evacuation. In light of all this, let’s discuss emergency preparedness measures for Gulf coast residents.

Everyone should have a 72-hour emergency kit in their vehicle for each member of their family. Also, each family member should have at least 72-hours of emergency freeze dried food. You should also have water, and some extra clothing and shoes.

Get your emergency preparedness supplies now before panic sets into the Gulf.

Is Mass Evacuation of the Gulf Coast Being Planned?

Rumors are Flying About the Gulf Being Evacuated - Get Your Preparedness Supplies Before this Happens

Rumors are Flying About the Gulf Being Evacuated

The rumors are rampant on the net. Many sources are saying the government is secretly drawing up plans for a mass evacuation of the Gulf of Mexico coastline. I have no idea if this is true and I was unable to confirm it. However, it did get me to thinking.

Along with the oil gushing from the broken pipe a mile under the surface, toxic gases are spewing forth and killing marine life and causing some in the Gulf to be sickened. In Florida, a couple people have actually died.

If the Gulf coast is evacuated, you better have 72-hour emergency kits and freeze dried food in your car, ready to go at a moment’s notice. You’ll need a 72-hour kit and a minimum of 72-hours of food for each person in your family. You should also have water, clothing, and shoes in each vehicle.

Get your 72-hour Emergency Kits and Mountain House 72-hour Emergency Meal Kits now, before panic sets in. If the Gulf coast is not evacuated, you can at least eat the food and you’ll have an emergency preparedness kit for each member of your family.
