Hi, my name is Uncle Lester, aka Frank Salvo. People who take my classes like to call me ‘Uncle Lester’ because Lester is my middle name.

Actually, my given name is Franklin Lester Salvo. Now, who in the hell wants to say all that? My parents should’ve had better sense.

I’ve been involved in long term food storage for 20 years. I have experience in every type of food storage system. I know what works and what doesn’t work, and I’ve used everything that I write about and recommend.

I started this blog, because in addition to teachin’ classes, I like writin’ about this stuff. Not sure why. Probably, because it comes easy to me. Besides, I thought it’d be a good way to pass on some of the things I’ve learned over the past 20 years.
