The Alvin Vacuum Sealer
I came across an interesting article over at Instructables.com. It describes how to make the Alvin Vacuum Sealer. This is a hand operated vacuum sealer that can be used for sealing canning jars (Ball, Kerr, Mason). It’s handy, inexpensive, and doesn’t require power. The article also describes how to use it.
